Fundamental Changes, Political System, VietnamAbstract
The term "political system" has been officially used in Vietnam since 1989, transitioning from the "proletarian dictatorship system." From 1991 to the present, the political system has undergone several important changes, contributing to political stability and establishing a system of principles for the Party's leadership over the State. Our Party continues to renew the political system, promote administrative reform, eliminate cumbersome and harassing procedures that hinder the renovation process; combat bureaucracy and corruption, purify the state apparatus, and simultaneously expand democracy, promoting the initiative and creativity of sectors, localities, and grassroots levels. Using historical, logical (and several other) methods, this article clarifies the transformation process of Vietnam's political system, summarizing some strengths and limitations of the Vietnamese political system.
